Ashmont Activation Team 2026

The Ashmont Activation Team is a 25-member group of local residents, business owners, artists, and community partners working together to reimagine the future of Ashmont Station Plaza / Droser Plaza. Guided by facilitators Martin Pierre and Maria Fernandes, the team is participating in a series of workshops and conversations to explore how the Plaza can better serve the neighborhood.

Through shared reflection, creative exercises, and community-centered planning, the team is identifying opportunities to make the Plaza more welcoming, vibrant, and engaging for people of all ages and abilities. The group’s ideas and recommendations will help shape future programming, design improvements, and public space activations that reflect the diverse voices and experiences of the Ashmont community.

This initiative is supported through the Activating Boston grant program (Cycle 2), funded by John Hancock and Healthy Places by Design, which invests in community-led efforts to transform public spaces into places that promote connection, well-being, and neighborhood pride.

Follow along for updates after each meeting and to provide your feedback on the work.

Save the date for Tuesday, May 12 at 7PM for our final public presentation.
