Introducing: The Ashmont Activation Team
The Ashmont Activation Team is a 25-member group of local residents, business owners, artists, and community partners working together to reimagine the future of Ashmont Station Plaza / Droser Plaza. Guided by facilitator Maria Fernandes, the team is participating in a series of workshops and conversations to explore how the Plaza can better serve the neighborhood.
Meeting One: Grounding in the lived experience of the Plaza through discussions of how the Plaza currently engages the five senses and what we dream for in the future.
Meeting Two: Reflecting on how the space is used today through the lens of “inclusivity” and drafting our priority values for the Plaza.
Meeting Three: Drafting a mission for our Plaza pilot programs and design improvements plus generating ideas for pilot programs and improvements for 2026.
Now, we’re refining what comes next—and we want your input.
